Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become one of the basic building blocks of modern society. Many countries now regard understanding of ICT and mastering the basic ICT skills (Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving) as part of the core of education, along with reading, writing and arithmetic. Information and Communication Technology (ICT@Schools) in Schools Scheme was introduced by Ministry of Education, Government of India in the year of 2004 {by merging the scheme of Educational Technology -1972 and Computer Literacy and Studies in Secondary Schools (CLASS)-1984}. The scheme was revised in the year 2010 and 2011 and a component to develop quality digital contents and incentives for teachers (National ICT Award for School Teachers) was introduced.
Now the Digital India Campaign strives to transform India into a digitally empowered society with knowledge & technology. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education is the mode of education that use information and communications technology to support, enhance, and optimise the delivery of information. Worldwide research has shown that ICT can lead to an improved student learning and better teaching methods.
Setting up Computer labs
IBIN Group is providing product & services to State Education Department under ICT@Schools scheme. We have setup more than 650 number of Lab in Govt./Govt. Aided schools under BOOT (Build Own Operate & Transfer) model of this scheme. Providing basic IT enabled education to Students (Class VI to XII) and Capacity Budding Training to Teacher to make them computer literate under ICT@Schools project.
Through ICT labs, SIBIN brings equitable digital access to students across socio economic and geographical barriers for improved academic performance. We provide IT infrastructure, digital content and instructors to schools, and operate and maintain these under BOOT Model.
